Cosmeceuticals are active and effective ingredients, that are used to rejuvenate and beautify

the skin and are found in many anti-ageing creams.

They are a mix of a cosmetic - and a pharmaceutical and are therefore called 'cosmeceutical'

Amongst the most 'evidence based' and interesting cosmeceuticals are:

Vitamin A or retinol

Vitamin C or ascorbic acid

anti-oxidants, such as Resveratrol and Ferulic acid

depigmenting agents such as tranexamic acid and kojic acid

One of the limiting factors in the efficacy of active ingredients of cosmetic products is their

penetration in the skin, which is limited.

Using cosmeceutical delivery systems that enhance and facilitate the penetration of these

active ingredients into the deeper skin layers, allows us to maximise their efficacy.

Different Cosmeceutical delivery systems are used:

Thulium babyface laser, Ultrasound sonophoresis, mesotherapy injections and microneedling devices.
