Fractional ablative CO2 laser

Updated: Aug 26, 2020

Ablative CO2 lasers have for decades been the golden standard for facial skin resurfacing and rejuvenation but were associated high risks of side-effect and long down times.

Fractional ablative CO2 lasers evaporates micro columns of skin, leaving intact skin between these columns. This untreated surrounding skin promotes a much more rapid recovery with less risk of complications. CO2 laser treatment improves the skin’s surface by ablation and subsequent healing of a fresher epidermis. The thermal effect in the dermis will boost collagen and elastin production, leading to improvement of wrinkles and skin laxity. This new collagen formation will start after approximately 1 month and continue for the next 3 to 6 months meaning the skin will continue to improve in the few months following the treatment.

This results in a fresher ‘rejuvenated’ skin, with improve skin texture and surface, reduced wrinkles and skin laxity.
