The Spectra Carbon Peel is used to even out skin tone, reduce pigmentation, treat active acne, improve coarse pores and fine lines. It is a mild procedure and is safe for most skin types. This treatment is called the 'Hollywood Peel' because it gives a luminous and radiant complexion, perfect for always having a beautiful skin glow.

The technique consists of applying a carbon lotion to the skin (black-grey face mask based on carbon) that has to dry for 15-30 min. Then the actual laser treatment can begin;

this involves 3 phases.

During the first phase, the skin is slightly heated. The second phase consists of removing the carbon layer with the laser, causing a soft exfoliation ('soft peel'). During the third and final phase, the skin is heated a bit more to stimulate collagen synthesis.

A single session can be used to achieve a radiant complexion, e.g. for a special occasion to look your best. However, as with most soft, non-invasive rejuvenation techniques, multiple sessions are required to achieve optimal and lasting results. The number of sessions varies depending on the indication.

It can be repeated with an interval of about 3-4 weeks, but is usually performed every 2-3 months.
